In 2013, I was thrilled to talk with Cesar Abeid for his “PM for the Masses” podcast, where we discussed the impact of Social Media in Project Management. This is a favourite topic of mine and sits at the heart of my Project Management practice.
We had a brilliant chat about how to think beyond Facebook and Twitter, to better understand how to engage technology and improve the way you collaborate and communicate with your teams and stakeholders.
I’m a huge fan of Cesar’s and really enjoy his podcast – his focus is on the human factor behind Project Management; he looks beyond the nuts and bolts of the profession to explore how we can be better project managers, leaders and people through our words and actions.
Intent is a big deal for Cesar. Intent of word and intent of deed. This is an idea that resonates with me and it’s a big part of why I will happily endorse “PM for the Masses” to project managers everywhere.
Anyway, it’s Cesar’s show so I’ll leave the last word to him! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this discussion.
Today I’ll have the incendiary Tony Adams, and we will have a great little chat on social media and where it’s taking project managers. It’s a brave new world out there, and who better than an Australian to take with you as you chart new territory?…what I really liked about my conversation with Tony is that we tried to ask the first necessary question in this discussion: what is social media, but more specifically, what is social media in a project environment? If you’re thinking Twitter and Facebook, you might be surprised by our conversation. Cesar Abeid
